Det här är den tredje fotosidan med bilder från mitt och Justus besök på Öland den 10-13 september 2007. Ovan och nedan finns bilder från alvaret och kusten i Äleklinta. Fantastiska vidder och havet alldeles bredvid! ~ This is the third photo page with pictures from my and Justus´s visit to Öland on the 10-13 September 2007. Above and below are photos from the large moor-like areas and the coast at Äleklinta. Fantastic wide open spaces and the sea right beside them!
Jordytan är bara några centimeter tjock på alvaret, och under den finns bara kalksten. På vissa ställen liggern kalkstenen till och med i dagern. Inte konstigt att alvaret är i stort sett obebyggt... ~ The soil surface is only a few centimeters in thickness in the large moor-like areas at Öland, and there is only limestone below the soil. At some places, you can even see the limestone. No wonder these areas are mostly free from houses...
